Digital Sculpting - Reference Images

When I came up with this particular idea I remembered a website I had come across recently that had a lot of images relating to bio mechanical soldiers, so I had another look and found a lot of material that could be useful if I carry out this idea:

All of these images are done by the same artist, and his work can be viewed at http://onlyhdwallpapers.com/tag/gia/. It's clear to me that not all of these images are going to be useful to me, but they are the sort of thing I'm going for in terms of style and sheer ridiculous size of the weapons. As my character is an amputee and has no legs, I am thinking of creating some kind of either mechanical legs or possibly a mechanical beast that fits the space where his legs would be. Then the weapons and other accessories will be added where I see fit, but obviously they will be fitted for a male rather than a female (which all of my reference material portrays).
